Description
Acoustic session: I played 16-string Medieval lyre and a Medieval hand-drum. The melody is from a 12th-century composition by King Richard I of England. Will add stems><br />

Christmas, AD 1192: Returning from Crusading in the Holy Land, King Richard I of England ("The Lion Heart") was captured near Vienna and held for ransom by the Archduke of Austria. While in prison, Richard composed a song, written in the Occitan language of the Troubadours, and sent it along with a message to his sister, lamenting his capture, and appealing for help. The song title translates as "No Man Who Is Imprisoned".
